Liberia: CIC Breaks Silence for the First Time Since Quincy B Death

Liberia’s music guru – CralorBoi CIC – has, for the first time, made a public statement about having a part to play in Quincy B’s death in almost six years.

CIC, who is about to drop a project titled “Don’t give up on,” has been writing snippets of what the listening audience should expect from him. This project will be so emotional as the musician is set to let the world knows what he’s been going through silently.

He and his friends were involved in a terrible accident nearly six years ago. It was the accident that cost Liberia’s most famous vocalist – Quincy B – to lose his life. CIC’s foot got broken, and the others had minor injuries.

Quincy B was then the brand ambassador for Lonestar Cell MTN. After his death, it was CIC who replaced him as the brand ambassador for the GSM company. Since then, there have been so many fingers pointed at CIC as a person who had a part to play in QB’s death.

Although CralorBoi has been silent all these years, the inspiring rapper is about to let everything out through his music.

“For so long a lot of us had fought silent battles because our environment doesn’t provide us a safe space to speak about our mental health without being judged.

After my accident, I shied away from therapy. I felt me sitting and explaining how I felt to a stranger wasn’t for me. I felt I was strong enough to carry on after all the accusations of my involvement with Quincy’s death. I was fine being myself and letting people talk whatever they felt like, and then I had a heartbreak after.

Life was kicking me in the a$$, but I had to put on a happy face for people around me. It hasn’t been an easy journey for me, but glad I came to the realization to be completely vulnerable to tell my story.
I’m CIC, and I’ve had suicidal thoughts and issues of mental health. I’m not ashamed of my story.

This Friday, I drop a song that’s about my struggles. Not one of many party songs I’ve sung over the years or am I aiming to drop a hit but a song highlighting all the silent battles we fight daily.
