Liberian artist Teddyride recently took to social media to express his gratitude towards the entertainment industry for the role it has played in shaping his career. In his post, he emphasized the challenges faced by artists and the impact of certain negative influences within the entertainment industry.

“I wouldn’t be where I am today without entertainment,” Teddyride stated, underscoring the significant role it has played in his journey. He shared his personal experiences, looking back on the progress he has made. “I have benefited a lot from music, looking back where I came from,” he reflected.

The artist went on to address the harsh realities faced by many talented individuals in the industry. “I have watched many great acts rise and fall, many travel abroad for concerts and never come back because of the less hope in the industry,” Teddyride expressed. He acknowledged that while seeking greener pastures is a natural inclination, the treatment of artists by their own people greatly influences their decision to leave.

Teddyride humorously mentioned the numerous visas he has acquired over the years, playfully suggesting that people might want him to run away as well. However, he stressed that reaching the top is no easy feat. “It’s not easy at the top,” Teddyride admitted, drawing from his observations of other successful artists.

Teddyride & JZyNo Issue

Addressing recent issues involving fellow artist Jzyno, Teddyride dismissed claims that he doesn’t support other artists’ success. “With a clear heart, do you know how many things I have done for artists which sometimes have not been reciprocal?” he questioned. Teddyride emphasized his selfless support for fellow musicians, even taking some artists to meet his CEO in a gesture of goodwill.

Regarding the situation with Jzyno, Teddyride attributed it to negative influences within the industry, downplaying it as a battle for supremacy. “The situation with Jzyno is hardly influenced by those bad chargers,” he asserted. Having spent a decade in the music industry, Teddyride urged fellow artists to come together and push Liberian music forward.
