Omah Lay, one of Nigeria’s top singers,” has expressed his sadness over the way people move past others once they are dead. His statement is based on the recent passing of Mohbad – a former Marlian Records musician.
Reflecting on the pain of losing a young 27-year-old lad, Omah Lay says it’s only prudent that we all strive to live the life we envision because once we are no more, there will still be life after us.
“You have to live your life, if you’re watching this right now I want to tell you you have to live your life. Look, Mohbad just passed, it broke me down so much but then, you go on Instagram everyone is vibing, everyone is in the club, everyone has moved on,” Omah Lay said.
The artist encouraged his audience that if they don’t live the life that pleases them, the only thing they will get after their demise is a “Rest In Peace” message.
“You really have to live your life, you have to do what pleases you, you have to be in your vibe 247… don’t let anyone k!ll it for you coz as soon as you’re gone the only thing people are going to do is write RIP on their stories and that’s done. You have to live your life,” he continued.
Omah Lay acknowledged that Mohbad was his buddy. Unlike many entertainers who downplay the former musician, he was a friend to the Soso singer.
“I’m so sad right now, I just heard the news. He’s my boy, he’s like my family. Rest In Peace Mohba.”
It’s been one week since Mohbad passed, but his death news continues to pop up on social media with different stories every day. We pray for a peaceful resting of Mohbad’s soul and justice for his untimely demise.
