As Mohbad’s death continues to make rounds on the internet, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, who is famously known as Ruger, has given his perspective on the artist’s untimely demise.
Ruger, in a recent interview, told journalists that Mohbad didn’t need to die before his songs trend on streaming platforms. Ruger argues that it shouldn’t be that way. People should be celebrated while they are alive.
“A boy died now and his songs are topping the charts. It’s doesn’t have to be like that,” Ruger told the interviewers.
Going further, Ruger admitted that he and the late Mohbad should have linked up before his demise. He said he had mad love for Mohbad’s sound, and he wasted no time replying to his message.
“We were suppose to link up. He texted me and I was like, once I’m back we will link up. I texted his manager, and told her that I like Mohbad,” Ruger emotionally said.
He admitted to not meeting Mohbad and expressed shock when he heard about his [Mohbad] death news. Ruger said he kept looking at the messages between him and Mohbad back and forth in total disbelief.
“After the news [broke], I would just randomly open the chat and close it. Never, I didn’t met him. Mohbad is such a simple person,” Ruger continued.
Ruger’s reflection of the late artist is in line with giving people their flowers while they are alive. This post is his account of the memory between him and Mohbad. It’s so sad that he didn’t meet this energetic lad.
