Ghanaian chef Abdul-Razak Faila has concluded her ambitious attempt to set a new Guinness World Record cook-a-thon, marking a historic moment at 227 hours and 10 seconds.
Originally aiming for an incredible 240-hour record, Chef Faila exceeded expectations by finishing 13 hours ahead of schedule, all thanks to her skills and the support of her dedicated crew at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale.
Her last culinary masterpiece was a pot of jollof rice, cooked in the final hour and intended to be served to the enthusiastic crowd that had gathered to witness this remarkable achievement.
Throughout the 10-day endeavor, Chef Faila’s sous-chef, Malik Eric, stood by her side, contributing to the preparation of an astounding 195 meals. The chef’s determination and perseverance were not only displayed in breaking records but also in her altruistic efforts, delivering hundreds of platters to underprivileged individuals.
