As the long-standing controversy continues between Nigerians and Liberians on social media about Chef Aloycious’ attempt to break Chef Hilda Baci’s 100-hour cooking record, the Liberian Chef has spoken officially on his Facebook page.
The famous Liberian Chef took to the media to address most of the issues people have had since the news broke up that he desired to break Hilda’s record.
He reaffirmed his desire to break Chef Hilda’s record. “I’m officially expressing my interest in sitting 120hrs new record for me and my country, breaking previous records holders.”

He clarified that he has no hate for the current record holder as he has supported her time without a number. He also states that Guinness World Record has no specific timeline for someone to break another record.
“GWR doesn’t have a time duration for one to break another person record! In so doing I don’t need anybody approval to make attempts in breaking a week old record,” the Chef wrote.
Chef Aloycious’s post comes as a result of the constant attack Nigerians have launched on him since the news of his quest to break the young lady’s record emerged on the internet.
Some people have gone as far as calling him a hateful and jealous person. They said he didn’t know about such a record until Hilda’s name appeared in the media.
The Chef, however, made it clear that he has no hate in his heart for Hilda, but he got inspired by the young Chef. “I took my personal page to support Chef Hilda of Nigeria longest cooking record breaking journey, without me knowing her in person. It’s not a hate or jealousy as you all seeing it. Chef Hilda had inspired my journey,” Aloycious said.
Aloyciou acknowledged that his team has already contacted the Guinness World Record and waiting for approval from the GWM team. He also thanked all the media houses that have kept his name in the news since the controversy.
