As a young boy growing up in a small camp in Firestone, Jere Nana never could have imagined that he would one day become the respected journalist and influential person he is today.
From humble beginnings to a strive for worldwide success, Jere’s journey is one of determination, hard work, and unwavering passion. Today, he stands at the forefront of Beatwind, captivating audiences with his unique writing style and leaving an indelible mark on the world.

Early Childhood
Jere Nana, whose full name is Jeremiah Nanakpaliar Himbye, was born in the Phebe Hospital in Bong County on May 02, 1997, unto the union of Mr. Joseph Oldpa Himbye and Mrs. Sarah Garmai Himbye. Three years after his birth, Jere’s parents migrated to Firestone to search for a job.
As God could have it, Jere’s dad successfully acquired a job with the Firestone Rubber Company. In 2001, his dad started working with then the Firestone Rubber Plantation, now Firestone Rubber Company, in Division 31. He spent his entire childhood in Firestone.
Educational Background
Jere started his Preschool at the Division 31 Community School, which later became the Division 31 Elementary & Jr High School under the management and supervision of the Firestone Company.
Later in 2006, the company transferred his dad to Division 44 Pingo Camp. At Division 44 Pingo Camp, Jere resumed classes at Division 44 Elem. & Jr. High School from 3rd grade till he graduated from Junior High in 2011.
In 2012, he started his senior high school journey at the Firestone Liberia Senior High School. In 2015, Jere met all the requirements of the school. He was shortlisted as one of the candidates who successfully passed the West African Senior Certificate Examination(WASSCE), qualifying him to become a high school graduate that year.
Unfortunately for Jere, the graduation ceremony was adjourned to 2016 due to the deadly Ebola that affected Liberia and its environs. In 2016, he graduated from Firestone Senior High with a high school diploma and from the Technical Vocational Institute at Harbel Multilateral High School with a diploma in Computer Science.
In 2017, Jere began his college education at the State-run University – University of Liberia while staying in the ELWA Rehab Community, Paynesville – Liberia.
Later in 2018, Jeremiah traveled to the People’s Republic of China, where he graduated with a BSc in Civil Engineering from the Jiangxi University of Engineering.
Work
In 2018, Jere served as Secretary-General of the Xinyu Union of Liberian Students and International Students studying at the Jiangxi University of Engineering in Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province, People’s Republic of China.
From 2020-2022, he served as President of the Xinyu Union of Liberian Students in Jiangxi Province, People’s Republic of China.
In 2021, Jere was a member of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) of the Liberian Student Union in China.
In 2022, he served as chairman of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) of the Liberian Student Union In China (LSUIC).
