The entertainment industry is a place where emotions run high, and things can quickly escalate out of control. Recently, Liberian musicians, Teddyride, and JZyNo had a public falling out, which left fans disappointed and shocked. But in a recent turn of events, JZyNo who had previously spoken out against Teddyride has issued a public apology.
In a statement, the artist said, “My apologies to Teddyride and the entire AEMG team; including the Teddy Movement fan-base for the way I handled things the last time; I kept my shii inside for long cause I didn’t see it necessary.”
The artist went on to express that he was hurt by some words that were said towards him on Teddyride’s Facebook live video, but he has since let go of the situation.
The apology didn’t just stop at Teddyride and the AEMG team. JZyNo also extended his apology to all the supporters of Liberian music, including fellow artists, promoters, and fans. He admitted to being disrespectful and using harsh words, which they now regret.
It takes a lot of courage to apologize publicly and admit to one’s mistakes. The artist’s apology clearly shows growth and maturity in the Liberian music industry. As they stated in their statement, “This Is The New Liberia. With Peace, Love and Unity; We move towards a better industry.”
JZyNo is currently the most followed Liberian artist on Audiomack with over 48,000 followers. His most trending song, “Butta My Bread,” hit 1 million streams on Audiomack in less than 26 days since it was released.
Teddride is currently the holder of four awards in the just-ended MTN-LMA, claiming the Artist of the Year and three other different awards.
Fans of both Teddyride and the artist can now look forward to a brighter future for Liberian music. It’s time to let go of grudges and work together toward a more collaborative and supportive industry. With apologies and forgiveness, comes healing and progress.
