For mismanaging her money and refusing to marry her, a Liberian lady has been arrested for allegedly attempting to kidnap her stepson.
According to a Liberian journalist, Emmanuel Tophic Degleh, Police in Kakata are investigating a 29-year-old woman for kidnapping after she attempted to sell her stepson for 15 thousand United States Dollars in Kakata.
Patience Paye, a resident of Johnsonville in Montserrado County, attempted to sell her boyfriend’s son 7-year-old Jacob Kamara after his father reportedly mismanaged her over US 10 thousand dollars during their newly two years love relationship.
Patience said the boy’s father, Morris Kamara, a power saw operator has promised to marry her after they fell in love two years. His promise led her to invest more than 10 thousand in a joint plank business with him in Grand Capemount County. A business that resulted in a total loss.
Patience told Classic FM in an interview that after losing her business money, Morris has said he doesn’t have any interest in the relationship anymore. A situation that prompted her to negotiate selling his son to get back in business.

Since when has human being become a legal commodity in Liberia? No matter how much his father owes her, it is illegal to sell humans in Liberia. Prosecute her immediately to send a stern warning across to deter those who might want to emulate her example…
