During the investigation, Wade admitted to committing crimes against his victims, which included unlawful restraint, menacing, criminal coercion, and theft of property. The LNP charged Wade under several sections of the Penal Law of Liberia, including Chapter 14, Section 14.70, 14.21, 14.24, 14.51, 14.25, and 14.27, as well as Sections 15.30, 15.32, 15.70, 15.51, and Chapter 18, Section 7.

The LNP accused Wade of having non-consensual intercourse with women and threatening to harm or kill them while restraining them. He also subjected his victims to involuntary servitude and used pistols, single-barrel shotguns, and knives to carry out his crimes. In addition, he was charged with possessing fake LRD 500 banknotes worth LRD 76,500.00.

Despite his charges, Wade remained optimistic about his chances of freedom. Magistrate Ben Benbarco, who presided over his appearance in court, informed Wade that he is entitled to a lawyer and due process under the law. However, he was later remanded in custody at the Monrovia Central Prison.
