After Liberia’s back-to-back fixtures with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, the national team of Liberia moves two places on the FIFA Coca-Cola World and Africa rankings respectively, heading from 150 places to 148 places, accumulating 1049.94 points with a 0.28 average. Notwithstanding, Liberia also sits in 44 places in Africa.
However, the Lone Star showed a splendid performance in Johannesburg, after forcing the Bafana Bafana to a 2 -2 draw at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto.

In the returned fixture in Liberia at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville City, the Lone Star of Liberia also show-case a superb performance, but was beaten by the South African who currently sits in 66 places in the world and 12 places in Africa, by two goals to one.
As it stands in Group K, both Liberia and South Africa still have a game at hand with the Atlas Lions of Morocco, who are currently sitting in 1st place in Africa, and 11th place in the world, and have a six (6) points advantage in a group that comprised of three teams and has qualified; on the other hand, South Africa is positioned second place with four points in the group and has also qualified.
There is still much work to be done if Liberia is to continue climbing the ranks and competing at the highest level. The team will need to improve its current level of performance and continue to improve its tactics and strategies to continue to climb to the top.
Overall, this is an exciting development for Liberian football and a positive sign of progress for the sport in Africa. With continued effort and investment, there is no doubt that Liberia can become a major player in the global football arena.
