Monrovia — A man claiming to be a political activist was dragged and madly treated at the Capitol Building for bringing down a pre-campaign banner of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change.
McClain Randolph had gone to the ground of the Capitol Building to pull down billboards that were placed up by both the ruling party and an opposition candidate.
According to Randolph, it is a flagrant violation of the election law to start pre-campaign activities ahead of time. He said he will bring all political banners down if the NEC does not act.
Mr. Randolph angrily pulled down the honorable Kolubah billboard. A few days ago, Mr. Kolubah was at the Capitol Building mounting billboards of him and two opposition candidates (Amb Boakai and Mr. Cummings).
Hon Kolubah mounted these billboards as a payback to the numerous billboards the government placed all along the city, including the Capitol Building.

McClain Randolph successfully brought down Hon Kolubah billboards but was unfortunate when he attempted to do the same to the ruling party.
While McClain was tearing apart CDC banners, he was heavily resisted by the officers of the Capitol Building. These officers dragged Mr. Randolph and madly handled him.
They pulled him outside the compound of the Capitol Building, far from where the billboards were hanging.
The Public Reaction:
There have been mixed reactions in the public as everyone has offered their opinion on the issue. During the live video, many people condemned McClain for taking the law into his hands.
While people condemned him for “vandalizing government properties,” hundreds of others have called on the government to take strong action against these officers.
