In a resounding show of support, President Weah, the Political Leader of the Ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), has accepted his endorsement for reelection by a significant majority of the 54th Legislature.
Fifty-six lawmakers out of a total of 103 have endorsed President Weah’s bid for another six-year term in the upcoming October 10 polls, citing the transformative progress witnessed under his leadership.
Expressing gratitude for the endorsement, President Weah emphasized that it reflects a strong belief in his vision to bring about meaningful change in the country’s developmental trajectory. Speaking at the CDC Party Headquarters in front of jubilant supporters, President Weah acknowledged the unwavering dedication and trust displayed by the Legislative Caucus and other supportive lawmakers, which fuels his determination to serve the Liberian people with utmost dedication.

Highlighting the significant accomplishments of his first term, President Weah cited infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and economic stability as key achievements that have positively impacted countless Liberians. He assured his supporters that the CDC remains undistracted and committed to delivering tangible results while emphasizing that the opposition’s empty promises and divisive tactics will not impede progress.
With a passionate voice, President Weah confidently stated that the strength and unity of the CDC will lead to an overwhelming triumph in the upcoming elections, despite any attempts to hinder their progress. President Weah reaffirmed his commitment to upholding democratic principles and ensuring a free, fair, transparent, credible, and peaceful electoral process. He quoted the late Nelson Mandela, emphasizing that the true character of a society is revealed in how it treats its citizens during elections. President Weah welcomed newcomers to the CDC, describing the party as a beacon of hope and progress for all Liberians, inviting citizens from all affiliations to join together in building a stronger and more prosperous Liberia.
