Lost In Riddim has canceled its musical festival, which was set to take place on October 1 and 2, 2022. The musical celebration is a two days event that features top and trending artists from around the globe.
According to the organizers, the event is suspended due to some “extenuating circumstances” beyond their control. In a statement released on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, via social media, the event planners regret not giving their audience the experience they had initially “envisioned.”
“We have made the extremely difficult decision to cancel this year’s festival. Due to a number of extenuating circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to provide the experience we originally envisioned for you.” – Lost In Riddim Organizers.
The statement continued: “We are truly devastated, and know we have not taken this decision lightly as we understand the impact and inconvenience this may have.” The Lost In Riddim family guarantees their fans that refunds for tickets sale are in process.
“Tickets buyers, refunds have been processed and detail have been sent to email. Thank you to everyone for your support, patience and understanding,” the statement concluded. “We are committed to providing an unforgettable experience for you in the future.”, the report concluded.
This sad news comes weeks after Liberians hugely celebrated the name of their hit maker – Skinny Boy Kpanto – appearing among the stars that were going to perform. Kpanto was set to waive the Liberian Flag and rock the stage with other prominent African artists like Wizkid, Davido, Kizz Daniel, and others.
Now that the festival is canceled, the “Streets President” will continue to push his game and explore another opportunity. With Kpanto’s current trend, it is fair to note that no matter how long it takes, the Streets President will fulfill his dream by waiving the Liberian Flag on an international stage.
