What appeared as a terrible moment for Tems has now become a wonderful experience for the Nigerian singer as she reflects on her incident in a Ugandan prison in 2020.
During one of her shows in East Africa, reports surfaced across the internet that Tems and Omah Lay had been arrested in Ugandan. The Ugandan Police accused both Tems and Omah Lay of violating COVID-19 standards.
Based on their accusations, Tem and Omah Lay were detained in prison for hours, something they earlier said gave them the worst experience of their career.

Thanks to the Nigerian government for intervening in their situation as they were freed a few days later.
However, despite this woeful situation, Tems told reporters at the ES Magazine that she was honored to have gone to prison since it humbled her.
She said the situation gave her a different perspective on life. It shows as valuable as you are in your motherland, you could just be devalued in another region if you break a simple rule known or unknowingly.
