Peter Obi, a famous Nigerian politician, has sent out a warm condolence message to the family of Mohbad over what he terms a “painful demise” of the late artist.
The politician used his official X (formerly Twitter) account to also call on the government to fully investigate the incident and “leave no stone unturned.”
“On behalf of my family, I condole with the mother and entire family of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, Mohbad, over his painful demise. I know how difficult it is for parents to lose a child, especially one with such a promising future as his,” he wrote.

He continued, “I urge the government and the security agencies to probe the circumstances that led to his untimely demise and to leave no stone unturned in unraveling the circumstances surrounding his death. With his demise, the nation has lost a promising talent in our growing music and entertainment industry.”
His message comes a few days after popular media critic Daniel Regha criticized him for not showing concern since the artist died. Even in the comment section of Peter’s post, Nigerians seem to be even angrier with him for posting his message after one week since the incident. Read their reactions below:
