Amid the massive accusation that Naira Marley had a part to play in the death of the late Nigerian musician Mohbad, a petition to ban Marlian Music Records has surpassed 120,000 signatures.

The petition was created on September 15, 2023, and in less than 24 hours, it has garnered such an impressive number.

It can be recalled that Nigerian singer Mohbad met his untimely demise on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. Since his demise, there have been lots of accusations thrown at Naira Marley because of his alleged constant bullying and oppression against the late artist.

In a trending social media video that was recorded on October 5, 2022, the late singer can be heard saying “if anything happen to him, the boss of Marlian Records should be held liable.”

In less than a year, the artist received so many threats, tortured, and bullied before his untimely demise. Bring the video scene back to life, all eyes are on the Marlian Records boss as a prime suspect.

The Nigerian police have released a statement about carrying out a detailed and full-scale investigation into the late Mohbad’s death. They have even promised to dig out his corpse if they are to perform an autopsy.

As the signatures list continues to grow and make headways across social media, would the requisite authority yield to the citizens’ demand to shut down the record label?
