For the first time, residents of the PHP Community will have access to a modernized recreational center as the Government of Liberia makes significant progress toward its completion.
Saturday, September 23, 2023, a thirty-second footage of a well-structured park in Central Monrovia surfaced on social media. The recreational center is reportedly one of the biggest the nation would boast of upon dedication. It includes a basketball court, soccer pitch, gymnasium, and playgrounds, among others.
The project, valued at millions of dollars, would address physical fitness, community building, and youth development, fostering overall well-being and inclusivity within a community. Its creation serves as a hub for various activities, ranging from sports and fitness programs to cultural and artistic expression, offering a wide range of opportunities for personal growth and community engagement.
This project is just one of the many projects (The Invincible Park, The Clara Town Survivors Sports Park, etc.) the government of Liberia, through President Weah, has developed. The citizens of the PHP Community and its environs are already eager to start making full use of their recreational center.
