Monrovia — Moijama L. Dunor, a young Liberian diplomat, has received widespread praise and recognition on the internet after fulfilling one of her biggest childhood dreams – building a new home for her parents.
The house is fully furnished with four bedrooms and a shop, and her parents and family members were recently ushered into their new home on March 21, 2023.
Moijama expressed her feelings on social media, saying that building a healthy home for her parents was something she had wanted to do for a long time, and seeing it become a reality at such a young age feels surreal and unimaginable.
She also mentioned the difficult living conditions she and her family endured in the past, with a house that was vulnerable to leakage and easy to break into.
Moijama’s late father had always wanted the best for his family, and he sacrificed much to provide his daughter with a quality education. Moijama is grateful for her father’s sacrifices and wanted to honor his memory by building a new and secure home for her parents. She hopes that every child who has such a plan can experience this feeling.
