  • Controversial claims have emerged in Liberia regarding the true identity of Franck Kessie’s mother, sparking a heated debate.
  • Nancy Pyne asserts herself as Kessie’s biological mother, but Ivorian football administrator Gustave Bailly vehemently denies the allegations, stating that Kessie’s real mother is Djedje Nathalie.
  • The conflicting claims have ignited a discussion, with an anonymous source suggesting that Pyne’s claims might have some validity. In contrast, others point to physical resemblance and shared African features as a possible explanation. The quest for the truth continues, leaving fans and the public eagerly awaiting further developments.

Liberia has become embroiled in a heated debate as controversial claims about the parentage of Ivorian football star Franck Kessie have emerged. The question on everyone’s lips is: Who is Franck Kessie’s real mother? The conflicting assertions have ignited a fiery discussion within the football community and beyond.

The controversy began when Nancy Pyne, a woman from Liberia, boldly declared herself to be the biological mother of the acclaimed midfielder. However, these claims have faced staunch opposition from Gustave Bailly, an influential Ivorian football administrator, and the West African Football Union (WAFU) coordinator. Bailly vehemently refutes Pyne’s assertions, asserting that her story is a fabrication.

Tuesday, May 9, 2023, viral posts surfaced on social media with Madam Nancy Pyne being interviewed by an OK FM journalist. In the interview, she claimed that she was the biological mother of Franck and another son identified as Andy.

After the interview went viral, Bailly expressed his frustration with the false claims circulating in Liberia. He clarified that he is, in fact, Kessie’s uncle and took him under his wing following the untimely demise of his father when he was just 12 years old. According to Bailly, Kessie’s true biological mother is Djedje Nathalie, who currently resides in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

“I took him( Kessie) to Stella Football club, then he was invited by Atalanta Bergoma in Italy, then to Cesena also in Italy, then AC Milan, and now Barcelona. He has no link to anyone as his mother in Liberia,” Bailly said.

Despite Bailly’s strong denial, Nancy Pyne’s claims continue to gain attention. An anonymous source revealed that Pyne might have a point and could indeed be telling the truth. This insider, freshly arrived from Ivory Coast, disclosed that Kessie’s mother, Nathalie, married his father after the player had already left Liberia for Ivory Coast to pursue his education. The source further hinted at potential scandalous revelations concerning Kessie’s age that may emerge should foreign news outlets become involved.

The dispute intensifies with each passing day, leaving fans and the public eagerly awaiting a resolution to the mystery surrounding Franck Kessie’s real mother. While the physical resemblance between Pyne and Kessie has led some to question the validity of the claims, others argue that shared features among Africans could explain the similarity.

As the controversy unfolds, journalists and the public have pondered the possibility of arranging an interview or meeting with Bailly to shed more light on the matter. Additionally, some speculate whether Kessie himself may provide further insights into his family background during a potential vacation in Liberia later this year.

How long does the DNA Result takes to be finalized?

There are a series of factors that might be preventing the DNA. One, the uncle allegedly doesn’t want it done, and two, the age Ma Nancy talked about is in contradiction with Franck’s football age.

Franck is currently in Cote D’Ivoire on a vacation and there are unconfirmed reports that he’s planning to meet MaNancy secretly.

This is a glaring case of gender-based violence against Mrs Payne and her children Kessie and the other guy. this is a trafficking case and someone must be in jail for this.

From optics madam Payne is the likely mother. DNA will prove that. This Kessie’s legal right. It seems like the uncle is thinking of money ….. but for the real mother the pain is too much. Imagine. Lying to a child to the extend suspected would be a sin and immoral.

DNA, in our mind, is the best way to go. But it seems like the uncle doesn’t want to hear anything of such. There could be something he’s trying to hide from Kessie. Praying for the best though!
